Geomag Magnetic Race Track Review

6 July 2020 by Eileen 4 Comments

Today, I’d like to introduce you to this outstanding interactive magnetic race track system from Geomag! Now you can build awesome tracks with your family and watch it using the force of gravity to create chain reactions for never-ending fun.

Geomag magnetic race Track Review

This unique educational set comes with 115 pieces and is made up of magnetic rods, steel spheres and elements of different shapes, such as cylinders and modular parts. This STEM system (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) is an ideal set to teach children about gravity, magnetism and fun. It is suitable for aged seven and above. I love the quality and the vibrant colour of the set and there are no sharp edges. I do worry that some of the small connecting tabs on some of the attachments might break off at some point though. It is best to be careful to not use too much force when assembling and disassembling.

The included instructions provide two designs for you to build. Mr K decided to build model one for his first trial! And look how awesome it is! Once built, the model didn’t take up too much table space. I do find that it is best to place the set on a hard floor or table for better stability than on carpet.

Once this is built, you can drop and watch the marbles run using the invisible forces of magnetism and gravity, without using electricity or batteries! The reason why it can run over and over is because there are spheres inside the circuit. These spheres are set in motion by an innovative magnetic cannon that uses the force of attraction of the accelerating magnet. The play experience is based on these fundamental principles of physics.

Geomag magnetic race track is a STEM-inspired toy that combines the classic marble run with modern twists! You just need to drop one marble and you can watch how it use its forces to launch the other two marbles and catch it by the magnetic catcher. Once you finished playing with it, it is easy to dismantle and pack away. It is a shame that the box is not made to be resealable so we used a plastic zip lock bag for safekeeping.

This is a fun set and it will make a fantastic gift for anyone! You can get it from good toy retailers, online and Amazon.

You can now download the Geomagworld app on iOS and Android stores or check out the web version, with interactive instructions for all product lines and many alternative ideas to create and share your new construction projects! For further information: www.geomagworld.com
