The Addams Family Movie is Out!

25 October 2019 by Eileen Leave a Comment

The Addams Family movie is out today in cinemas across the UK! Are you planning to watch it? This is a brand new 2019 American 3D computer-animated comedy horror film based on the comics of the same name by Charles Addams. With an all-star cast including Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Bette Midler, Nick Kroll, Allison Janney, Oscar Isaac and Finn Wolfhard.

To celebrate the release, we were invited to create fun and ‘spooktacular’ Addams Family treats to share with our readers! We were provided with recipes and Ms C decided to make spooky spider cookies and Thing Addams popcorn bags! Both treats are Ms C’s favourites so she enjoyed making these.

For the spooky spider, we cheated a little by making the chocolate chip cookies using ready-made cookie mix. We then decorated the cookies using ready-mixed black icing for the spider legs, Malteasers for the bodies and candy eyes.

As for the Thing Addams popcorn bags, we bought microwavable popcorn, disposable plastic gloves and Skittles. It can be quite hard to find disposable plastic Polythene gloves but they do sell them in big supermarkets or Amazon. Fill the glove with Skittles before the popcorn, then tie the opening with coloured string. It is dead easy to make!

I hope these treats will inspire you to make them with your family and maybe to pop down to the cinema this half term to catch the movie! Have fun and have a great half term break!

Disclosure: We received The Addams Family mechanise and voucher for the purposes of writing this post, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own. We have included an Amazon affiliate link to the product. If you click on this and buy, we may earn a small commission but at no additional cost to you.
