Inside this kit, there are 48 sheets of colourful square origami paper, over 35 sticker accessories, 100 stick-on pearls in assorted colours, 150 glittering sequins, 50 assorted stick-on rhinestones, Lace Washi tape and a full-colour book with folding instructions and tips for decorating the models.

Firstly, I made the cupcake design, which is fairly easy to fold and it didn’t take me long to do so. I then decorated it with the stickers and my own glitter glue. These cute cupcakes can be used to decorate birthday cards or you can frame it in a picture frame!

Next, I decided to make the Daruma doll. This is a lucky Japanese character and after you are done folding it, you make a wish as you colour in one eye. When your wish is granted, then you colour the other eye! A real Daruma doll is round at its base and always bounces back when you knock it over. It is a symbol of perseverance. It is always great to learn fascinating facts about different countries and cultures that have inspired the designs! Now I will use my wish wisely and hope it will come true!

I would definitely recommend this set. It is very well thought out and includes a lot of accessories. It is available to buy now on Tuttle Publishing, online and Amazon. Do check out our review on Origami Games for Kids and Origami Fish & Other Sea Creatures.

Disclosure: I received this set from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site.

[…] Then I tried the clownfish craft which is also the same difficulty as the bubblefish. I struggled slightly and had to watch the video to help me fold some parts of the crafts. Once complete, the clownfish looks awesome! There are so many designs to make but they can become very difficult to make! Luckily, there are videos we can follow! I hope in no time, I can make Koi Carp and make my own feng shui fish tank! I love origami and learning about the art of paper folding! If you also love to do crafts, then why not get this kit from Tuttle Publishing, online or on Amazon. Do check out our review on Origami Games for Kids and Super Cute Origami. […]
