Kaufmann Kitchenware Review

8 November 2018 by Eileen

Let me introduce you to this new stylish kitchenware range from Kaufmann, which is only available on Amazon. This Sienna range is designed to stand the test of everyday use and to ensure you get the best value for money.

They offer a 3-piece saucepan set, a 2-piece frying pan set and a 5-piece saucepan and frying pan set. We were thrilled to receive the 5-piece saucepan and frying pan set for review. It consists of a 14 cm non-stick milk pan, 16 cm, 18 cm, 20 cm saucepans and 26 cm non-stick frying pan.

The range is perfect for young adults who are going to university, or young couples setting up their first home or those with busy lives who want great value without compromising on quality. Even though they are more lightweight than most of the saucepans I’ve owned, they are still very durable and stylish too.

This Sienna range has been created with impact forged bases, making the pans suitable for use on all hob types including induction, while providing an even heat distribution and cooks quickly. All the pans come with a branded sticker on the base, which should be removed before using to avoid burning. It left a sticky residue on ours so I did have to spend five minutes to spray and clean the bases with sticky stuff remover gel.

These pans are made from mirror-polished stainless steel which gives them a very classic look. I always love stainless steel. They are not only easy to clean, but they also look very smart. The reinforced riveted design of the handle is a solid connection to the body of the pan so they won’t come loose in the future. The handle is ergonomically designed with a thumb grip that improves handling and balance when pouring. I did worry that the handle would trap heat but that was not the case at all as the handles managed to stay cool while cooking. The heat didn’t travel up to the handle at all.

The 16 cm, 18 cm and 20 cm saucepans come with vented glass lids and handles with hanging loops. Having a glass lid is a revelation as it gives you more control enabling you to just peep at the ingredients, instead of lifting the lid to check on it. It’s a must for me when we need to replace any saucepan.

This 26cm PFOA free non-stick frying pan is slightly small for my liking, as we’re used to 30 cm frying pan for cooking for a family of four for two meals. But this is a great size when you have all four hobs cooking! This frying pan is deep, has a nice weight to it and not overly heavy. Again, it is easy to clean.

Overall they are durable, good quality and well designed. I would recommend them and the overall prices are very reasonable. They come with a 10 year guarantee with a 5 year non-stick warranty. It is dishwasher safe and oven safe to 210°C.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
