Transformers Dragonstorm Review

23 September 2017 by Eileen

Transformers The Last Knight Mega 1-Step Turbo Changer Dragonstorm figure converts in 1 easy mega-step between knight and dragon modes. If you are a child of the 80s and 90s and have seen or played with the original Transformers toys, you will probably know that over the years, these super toy machines have transformed into much more sophisticated and intelligent toys!

We were delighted to get this awesome Transformers Dragonstorm toy to try out! Inspired by the iconic fire-breathing character from the movie, this Dragonstorm figure is very well made with excellent details on each part of its body. The figure looks very impressive to play and to leave on display.

It features Cyberfire tech to reveal hidden symbols on 1-Step Turbo Changer figures. It requires two AAA batteries and demo batteries are included. The battery compartment is found on the right side of the dragon. The on/off button is located on the back of the dragon.

Before you play, it requires simple assembly of the wings and tail. Sometimes I do find it quite annoying that the wings will fall off from the clips while playing. The tail can also act as a weapon when it is in knight mode.

To activate the LED Cyberfire lights that are located in the dragon’s mouth directly, push the lever downwards on the dragon’s back to unleash light and sounds. There are over 20 movie-inspired sounds and phrases. To transform into knight mode, pull the lever upwards on the dragon’s back. This is such a simple one step action that make this figure so impressive.

Mr K enjoys playing with this Dragonstorm where he can replay the epic struggle and rewrite legend. He had so much fun playing with it. This figure is impressively big in size but lightweight. It is easy for children to play with it. It measures approximately 45cm long, 30cm width and 26cm tall in dragon mode. In knight mode, it measures 32cm tall, 30cm width and 23cm depth. This figure is more expensive than I would like to spend on a toy but you can tell this is a good toy that should last. It is available to buy now from good toy retailers and Amazon.
