BIC Drawing Competition with Mumsnet

24 July 2017 by Eileen

BIC are inviting children from aged 5 to 11 to submit their drawings over at Mumsnet website and be in with a chance to win one of ten £50 BIC bundles and get their artwork featured on a billboard in their hometown.  Click here to enter it.

BIC Drawing Competition with Mumsnet

This drawing competition is open to all UK children aged between 5 and 11 years old and the competition ends on 6th August 2017. So hurry and get your artist to start drawing!

The entries will then be judged by BIC judges and the judges will take the entrant’s age, creativity, use of colour and drawing/colouring ability into consideration. The winners will be notified before the billboards are launched in September. There will be a total of 10 winners to win a £50 BIC bundle and a 48-sheet billboard of their winning artwork in their hometown (or nearest town with billboard spaces). Also one entry will be chosen at random to win a £300 Tesco voucher! There can only be one entry per child but can be multiple entries per Mumsnetter if you have more than one child aged 5 – 11 years. Remember do not throw away the drawing as they will need it if you win!

We were so pleased to be part of this BIC campaign with Mumsnet and have received these three BIC products to get my children to draw! They are the Couleur felt pens, Evolution Ecolutions colouring pencils and Plastidecor.

Some of you might know that I am originally from Singapore. This summer holiday we are going back to visit my family. So we decided to draw one of the most famous icons of Singapore, the Merlion, which is a mythical creature with a lion’s head and the body of a fish.

Firstly, I printed out a photo of Merlion and cut out the outline for Ms C to trace the Merlion, whereas Mr K preferred to draw his freehand! Then they both coloured in the water and added the sun.

They both can’t wait for the school to be over to go to Singapore again to see this fabulous icon of Singapore.
