New Lego Minifigures Series 17

10 May 2017 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Lego Minifigures Series 17 is available to buy now at retailers nationwide with 16 all-new characters to collect or trade. This adds new and exciting play possibilities to existing LEGO® sets featuring the Hot Dog Vendor, Elf Maiden, Butterfly Girl, Circus Strongman, Veterinarian, Battle Dwarf, Dance Instructor, Gourmet Chef, Connoisseur, Corn Cob Guy, Roman Gladiator, Rocket Boy, Pro Surfer, Retro Space Hero and the Yuppie, plus a mystery character!

Lego Minifigures Series 17 mystery box

Each minifigure comes in a sealed ‘mystery’ bag, together with one or more accessories, a display plate and a collector’s leaflet. Which character will you discover inside your bag?

Last week, we received our first ‘Mystery Box’ from LEGO and inside the box was a gold treasure chest. I adorned my tricorn hat, cape and black bandana on a mission to be the maker of mischief!

Lego Minifigures Series 17 blind bag

Firstly, I opened up eight classic minifigure series 17 blind bags and placed all of the characters’ accessories into the velveteen purse. In my blind bags, I have received the Hot Dog Vendor, Circus Strongman, Battle Dwarf, Dance Instructor, Connoisseur, Roman Gladiator, Corn Cob Guy and the Yuppie. These beautifully crafted minifigures were very well conceptualized and fun to play with especially the Corn Cob Guy!

Next I quickly mixed up the accessories and hid them somewhere ‘safe’ where no one knew where to find them. My next mission was to write out all the hints for my children to find!

To reunite the accessories to their rightful minifigure owners, my children had to read the clue cards carefully and work together! It did take them a while for them to reunite all the accessories with their owners! This was their first time meeting these new characters and they had to study the collector’s leaflet before finding the accessories.

Now I can’t wait for the mystery character that will be revealed next week on LEGO.com and LEGO social channels! Watch this space and I will tell you who that is!
