Electronic Music Mix Star-Lord is a very detailed figure with over 25 movie phrases and plays the mix tape! He is of course the main hero in the Guardians of the Galaxy and features a song from Marvel’s latest Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 movie.
Star-Lord is one of the galaxy’s grooviest heroes and is wearing his usual outfit and includes his favourite mix tape and two blaster accessories. I do worry that my children will lose the blue mix tape as it can be removed easily. The two blasters sit nicely in his hands. It did take my son some times to insert the blasters into Star-Lord hands as they’re quite a tight fit.
This impressive figure stands at 12-inches tall and is made of plastic. He comes with just a few points of articulation. His head is a ball joint with limited articulation and also his mask can’t be remove. He can only move his arms and waists and the rest of the body is completely static. I was slightly disappointed with that but I guess it does make him easier to stand upright. I love every detail on this figure and it is very well made.
Before you use this figure, you might want to swap the demo batteries to two new AA batteries. It doesn’t have an on/off button. To play the phrases or music, simply press the silver button. To play music only, insert the mix tape into the tape player to play songs. The volume is at an acceptable level and it is quite clear.
We are very impressed with the music effects and Mr K really enjoys playing with him and displays him on his window sills. He can’t wait to watch the movie soon which was out last week! This is a very well made figure that should last for a long time and most important of all, is fun to play. It is available in good toy stores and Amazon.
