Bladez Mycropodz Quadcopter Review

1 April 2017 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Bladez Mycropodz Quadcopter is a super-nano scale remote control toy that enables you to fly and flip 360 degrees. It comes in a unique built-in storage pod controller which also doubles as a charger. It is suitable for aged 8 and above.

In addition to the unique pod, there are also 4 spares propellers, 1 USB charger and instructions. It requires 4 AAA batteries which is not included. You can either charge it via the built-in pod using batteries or use the USB to charge via a computer. It takes 30 minutes to charge for each play of 4 to 5 minutes. It is important to not overcharge it.

The handset is lightweight and it is easy to hold. I do feel that the materials of the handset is slightly plasticky.

To play, remove the Quadcopter from the handset and turn it on. Before you turn on your handset, you have to make sure that the left joystick is positioned down fully. Then push your joystick to the top and push it fully down to the bottom. The red power LED light on the handset will turn solid. Once the Quadcopter LED lights flash, it means both are synchronised and ready for flight. It didn’t take long for it to synchronise.

Mr K has been really excited to play with it but he does find it hard to control. Mr C was able to control the Quadcopter a little better and has managed to avoid any major crash landings. For the first few plays, it can be quite frustrating to launch but once you get used to the joystick, it becomes a smoother. It can fly up to a distance of 30 metres and up to 10 players can fly at the same time. As a newbie, it is best to fly in a clear room to avoid any unnecessary obstacles.

I love that this Quadcopter comes with the safety guards around the propellers which gives it some protection. During one of the flights, Mr C flew the Quadcopter into toys and it caused one of the propellers to break. Luckily, this comes with four spare blades and it is very easy to swap. Do make sure that you swap the same colour blade otherwise it will not fly properly. Mr K has managed to crash the Quadcopter in every corner of the house but the Quadcopter itself seems pretty hardy.

Mr C and Mr K enjoys flying this super-nano Bladez Mycropodz Quadcopter. It is durable and it requires plenty of practising to have steady flight. This is available to buy from:  For more information, please visit: https://www.bladeztoyz.co.uk/products/r-c-mycropodz-quadcopter
