Jamie Raven Magic of the Mind Review

24 March 2017 by Eileen

One of Britain’s most talented magicians, Jamie Raven, who wowed audiences and judges alike with his extraordinary magic skills on the 2015 series of Britain’s Got Talent and finished as ‘Top Human’, has teamed up with Paul Lamond Games to develop four incredible Magic Sets.

The four sets, Card Magic, Magic of the Mind, Street Magic and Sleight of Hand, contain all the components required to perform multiple tricks and have been created to encourage budding magicians to learn and perfect their magic skills.

Mr K was delighted to receive the Magic of the Mind. He loves magic and is always going on about getting more magic sets. When I first opened the box, I was very surprised that I didn’t find any instructions. In fact, each magic set comes with a secret online link where Jamie demonstrates how to perform each trick. Access to the internet is necessary for this!

Logging onto the secret website, I was asked to set up an account using an email address. It does not require you to put in any personal details etc. Once logged on, your child can learn directly and Jamie also shares many helpful hints and tips on how to polish up your magic skills in order to dazzle family and friends. I was not allowed to watch the video as Mr K wanted to learn it by himself. But from what I could hear in the background, Jamie seemed to explain it very clearly.

Mr K was able to demonstrate the tricks very quickly and accurately. We were very impressed that he was able to understand the instructions and to carry it out convincingly. I do think visual demonstration is always the best way for children to learn magic.

Mr K loves the Jamie Raven Magic of the Mind set and now he is saving his pocket money to buy the rest of the three sets. He loves the magic set and would recommend it.

Here are the four magic sets available to buy from Amazon:

  • Card Magic
  • Magic of the Mind
  • Street Magic
  • Sleight of Hand
