DreamWorks Trolls Family Gala at London

15 October 2016 by Eileen

Last week, we were delighted to watch Trolls at London Odeon Leicester Square.  We had seen the trailer over the summer and we couldn’t wait to watch it.  Thanks to Think Jam for this opportunity to watch this hair-raising comedy filled with unbelievable adventure and incredible music.

While waiting to get inside the cinema, Princess Poppy and Branch were there to greet us and we had a photo taken with them!  Instead of red carpet, we got to walk on rainbow carpet.  I love that they made an effort get the cinema in theme for the film.  Once in the cinema, we took our seats and waited about 30 minutes before the directors came on stage to introduce the show.

Now let talks about the film. Trolls are known for their crazy, colourful and magical hair. They are the happiest, most joyous creatures ever to burst into song. But their world of rainbows and cupcakes is changed forever, when their leader Poppy (Anna Kendrick,) must embark on a rescue mission that takes her far beyond the only world she’s ever known. Princess Poppy managed to enlist a grumpy troll survivalist named Branch (Justin Timberlake) on a quest to save Troll Town’s population from the Bergens.

There is a lot of music and funny moments that even a two year old toddler was engrossed watching it!  The storyline was easy to follow and comes with a great message behind it.  We all loved the film and would highly recommend it. There isn’t a dull moment and it will appeal to all the family.  It is released in cinemas from today in 3D and 2D.  It stars Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Gwen Stefani, Russell Brand and Ron Founts.  We can’t wait to get the DVD once it is out!

Disclosure: We were provided free tickets to watch the film for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
