Slientnight Anti-Snore Pillow Review

26 April 2016 by Eileen

This year, National Stop Snoring Week starts on 25th to 29th April 2016. This is an annual event promoting general awareness that nobody need suffer as a result of snoring.  Did you know that there are an estimated 15 million people in the UK who snore? It is a condition that can be treated.

The right pillow could make all the difference and Silentnight has this Anti-Snore pillow which helps to reduce snoring by gently supporting the head and neck in a position that encourages better body alignment. The pillow has a firm core, which has been ergonomically shaped to raise the head slightly. It is hypoallergenic and machine washable, the Silentnight Anti-Snore pillow is made in the UK and available from a number of retailers including Sleepypeople.

When I first took it out of the plastic bag, I adjusted the Polyester Hollowfibre around the foam to puff it up slightly.  Once it is in a nice shape, I inserted the pillow into my pillowcase and it fits nicely. The pillow is soft and you can feel the foam in between. I am so used to sleeping on a double firm pillow that when I transitioned to this soft pillow, it took me a few days to get comfortable. Initially, it was too low for me and I felt that my neck/throat area was slightly tilted. Then I popped it with another soft pillow and it now about the right height for me. I tend to sleep on my side hence I need a tall pillow. I think this anti-snore pillow will work better for people who sleep on their back as it is a more suitable height.
