Hot Wheels Track Builder Starter Kit

21 March 2016 by Eileen

This impressive Hot Wheels Track Builder starter kit is a great way to start your Track Builder collection and build an epic world of Hot Wheels tracks! It is suitable for children aged 4 onwards.

This kit comes with pieces of orange track, a split loop, ramps, launchers with connection points and underneath, two 90-degree track turns, multiple connectors, instructions and much more! It also includes one Hot Wheels vehicle so the racing fun starts straight out of the box.

The instructions provides you four different ideas to build your track. We built the first design using the instructions and were very impressive with the speed and movement of the cars. The tracks are easy to slide through but to get them out, you need to twist slightly to get the blue connector off the track. I had to help Mr K to do most of the connections as he was not strong enough to slot them properly.

Many of the items in this kit have more than one use, so kids can keep their imaginations and their tracks growing with a series of nearly endless configurations. So after we played with the first build, Mr K decided to ditch the instructions and start building his own track. He enjoyed using the launchers and was very pleased with the speed of the car.

After owning a couple of Hot Wheels tracks, I think this is one of the best tracks we have ever had. The materials are much softer and easy to slot in. The car managed to stay in the track most of the times and it launched and travelled a good distance. We are very well impressed. We have also made a video over our Instagram account, click to watch it in action.

Best of all, the utility handle can be used as a hook for a gravity drop or to hold all the components in the kit together for simple storage and easy portability. How cool is that! I would definitely recommend this. It is available to buy in good toy shops and Amazon.

This looks great, love how it stores unlike some more bulky hot wheels sets we have.
