Easter Eggstravaganza at National Forest Adventure Farm

28 March 2016 by Eileen

The sun is out, and just in time for the Easter weekend! With the lovely weather, we decided to visit the National Forest Adventure Farm.  As we arrived, the car park was really full. Luckily, we managed to park without having to walk too far. There were so many activities like Easter treasure hunt, Easter Eggspress, lamb feeding and many more! They also have plenty of indoor soft play areas that are suitable for various ages.

We first headed off to the outdoor area where the jumping pillow, play area, assault course, beat the goalie etc. are all situated. Both of the children were very excited and started bouncing on the pillow first.

Later, we went to the Farm Fun Frisbee golf to show off our Frisbee skills. It’s a six hole course and we managed to do it all. There was a gentle breeze in the air which made the Frisbee throwing all the more challenging but we had so much fun! There were plenty of Frisbees on the site for us to throw.

Besides the Frisbee golf, there is the Plant a Bean where you get a pot to plant your own green bean to take home!

Then we headed off to the animal farm area to look around and it happened to be the lamb feeding.  Everyone was already seated so we just went to the barn to look at the animals.  There were gorgeous piglets along with mummy pig, lamas and many more adorable small animals.

After visiting the animals, we took the alley way towards the animal paddocks where the Easter Eggspress is located to take the tractor and trailer where we collected the woodland animal stamps along the trail. It was quite a bumpy ride!

Just before we went home, we went into the indoor area where there is a JCB bouncing castle. Both children had a quick play before we headed home.

National Forest Adventure Farm is located in Burton upon Trent, within an hour’s drive from Stafford, Stoke, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester etc. There is plenty of free parking plus disabled parking right at their entrance. They are open throughout the year but do check out their upcoming events like Wild And Deadly Week (28th May – 5th June), Peppa Pig (19th June), Spudfest (Weekends in September), Dinosaurs Awaken Maize Maze (16th July – 4th September) and Christmas (26th November – 24 December). Do remember that if you book online, you could save 10% off the ticket price.

Disclosure: We were provided free entrance for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
