It has been a while since I travelled with a baby or toddler. Now this coming February half term, I have not just one but two non-identical twin toddlers coming from Singapore to visit us! My sister and her family are taking some time off during the Chinese New Year festivities for their holiday. We are looking very much looking forward to seeing them soon as we last saw them all in 2014 when the toddlers were only 13 months old!
After much discussion with my sister, I am going to make a few arrangements for their travel accessories. My sister and brother-in-law will be taking a road trip visiting some great places along the way like Wales, Cornwall and London etc. So they will need to borrow a few bits and pieces from us and buy a few items along the way too!
As both of my children are 8 and 6 years old, their baby stuff has long gone. Now I am writing a list of items to get for them! I am so pleased to come across Online4Baby website. They are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of baby and toddler products with a wide-ranging catalogue from buggies to baby monitors.
As I mentioned earlier, they will be driving so I am going to get them a car seat. When I look at the website, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a Group 0/1 car seat starts from £29.95. This is great as we’ll need to get two new seats. Next is to get them a couple of window shades. Since it is winter, when the sun shines, it will remain lower in the sky so these will help them sleep and also avoid hurting their eyes if they were to look directly at the sun.
To continue their holiday in comfort, travel cots would be useful for when they stay at hotels and bed and breakfasts, etc. A portable booster highchair can be useful when we eat out as not every restaurant will be baby friendly. This will also be useful for when they are at my home too. Also, for use in my home, we shouldn’t forget a baby gate. This was so useful for our children. Last but not least, I need to stock up on plenty of drinks, snacks, toys, books and CDs in the car too! Entertaining children is very important especially on a road trip! Did I miss anything out that I forgot mention? If so, what is your suggestion?
