It is almost the time of the year to change our canvas! We love canvas photos in our house and we quite often change the photos or canvas to refresh the whole look of our rooms. We are fortunate that we know this reasonably cheap local photographer who was introduced to us by our modelling agency. Almost every 6 – 9 months, we would update the children’s photos for their modelling agency. We were offered to review a 12 x 18 canvas from thecanvasprints. So I picked my favourite family photo to replace our old canvas on our living room wall.
They offer various sizes of photo canvas in different styles: Single Image Canvas, Split Photo Canvas onto Multiple Panels and Wall Display. I chose a rectangular 30 x 40 inch with photo wrapping around edges. But the picture has a white background hence it didn’t show the outline of the photo.
Using their site, it is very straightforward to set up an account, upload photos from your PC/Laptop/Facebook/Flickr and pay by cards or Paypal. I had no trouble at all. There is no software to download. It did not provide any guidance on the image size of your photos. I think for a canvas that big, it is best to use at least 4MB to achieve average quality. I used a 2MB photo for this canvas.
The quality of the photo on the canvas turned out really well. The canvas is hand wrapped around a premium quality UK pine. The wooden frame looks very new and clean. They did not included wall hooks. So remember to get some beforehand. It comes with 100 years colour fading warranty. It is also UV, dust & water protected.
They were very quick processing the order and it was well packaged and protected. There was no unnecessary packaging. I have kept the packaging in my garage, just in case I ever move I can reuse it to protect my photo canvas. Their prices are very competitive so check out their website for more information.
Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
The canvas looks lovely – great shot of you and your family!
