Earlier this year, Schleich launched a new range of horses and now they have launched this beautiful range of dinosaurs! This Schleich dinosaur range is suitable for children aged 3 and above. They have Saichania, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Pentaceratops and many more.
We have received these two gorgeous dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus Rex and Spinosaurus. The finish on the dinosaurs is to a very high standard. Each dinosaur has their own distinctive post and detailed features. Both are able to stand on their own and quite chunky to hold. Their jaws are articulated so they can open their mouths too.
This green Tyrannosaurus Rex certainly looks very threatening. He has a huge mouth full of long teeth. He measures 28cm long and 8.5cm wide. Some scientists doubt that he was a good hunter and believe that he was probably a scavenger. I’d love to know how they used their front legs as they do not even reach its mouth. Nevertheless, the Tyrannosaurus Rex is now regarded as the king of the dinosaurs, even in this miniature size!
This grey dangerous looking Spinosaurus has many sharp, straight teeth in a crocodile-like mouth. His meals usually consisted of other dinosaurs or fish. The smartly designed sail on his back fulfilled several functions. It probably helped the cold-blooded dinosaurs to regulate temperature by collecting or distributing heat. It also served to impress potential mating partners. He measures 27 cm long and 7.5cm width. His front legs are quite long that they reach the ground.
Both of my children were fascinated by them and were happily playing with it. Undoubtedly, Schleich toys are very durable and are made to last for a long time.
They both love this dinosaur range. It encourages their imagination and is a great set for any young dinosaur lover. I would highly recommend them.
