Schleich Horse Riding Arena Review

10 May 2015 by Eileen

Ms C is mad about horses right now and she loved every minute she spent riding the horse at a local riding school. She was extremely thrilled  when she saw this Schleich Horse Riding Arena! This is exactly what she wanted – an arena for her to pretend riding her horse!

This Schleich Horse Riding Arena is suitable for children aged 3 and above. It comes with the Arena, a horse with rider, accessories and jumps. This toy does not comes with any instructions but  is very easy to put together by looking at the picture on the box. Each item is  very well made and with a smooth finish.

The arena measures 39 cm by 24 cm by 26 cm and comes with four working windows. The arena is quite lightweight and it is best to play it on carpet to prevent it from moving all over the place. The stands are easily disassembled  by pulling it off and then they can be stored inside the box. It is quite sturdy when built.

The finish on the horse is to a very good standard. The beautiful horse comes with a removable saddle, headcollar with reins. When you are not training your horse, you could give her a gorgeous rug (attached with Velcro) and put him on a lead instead. Young children might need help to remove the headcollar before the lead can be put on.

Ms C loves to train her horse to do showjumping by jumping over the poles. She is fascinating by it and it has really kept her occupied. After a hard working day, she rewards her horse with a bunch of carrots! This is a very well thought out set that will encourage imagination  and a great set for any young horse lover. Ms C is going to go and practise her horse riding with Gartmore Riding School more regularly and this set will help her along! It will encourage her to learn the different accessories that are used on the horses and also how to do showjumping.

This set is available to buy from good toy stores and Amazon. We have also reviewed this range of Schleich horses, click here to read more about it.
