Spy Net Vibrasonic Walkie Talkies Review

1 November 2015 by Eileen

Want to be a spy? Now Spy Net is taking spying to the next level by using vibrasonic technology which allows you to hear without using your ears! This is suitable for eight years old and above.

How does it work? By using the sound vibrations to transmit to the inner ear through the skull! We were amazed by this new technology toy from Jakks Toys. This set comes with dual headsets which require four AAA batteries in total to operate. The battery compartment can be found on the top of the headset. Install two AAA batteries in each headset and you are ready to go.

It does not include any instructions in the box but it is very simple to set up. On the right hand side of the headset, there are two buttons. One is for the on/off button while the other one is synchronise.  Both headsets synchronise easily. As for the volume it is depending on the other person, sometimes, it can be clear and sometime it can be slightly fuzzy. Do remind your children to switch it off after use otherwise it will drain the batteries.

It comes with a microphone with mute switch on the front. The headset is adjustable to allow a good fit. It fits well on my children and my big head too. It should sit on top of your ear and not inside your ear. Make sure that the black vibration button sits on the frontal lobe of your skull. This walkie talkie is very easy to use and wear. It can be used up to 30 metres away but it also depends on the line of sight and obstacles.

We find this walkie talkie technology very interesting and fun to play with. You cannot treat this as proper spy gear but as a fun gadget for children to play with. It is quite plasticky and chunky. This is available to buy from Argos, Smyths and other good retailers including Amazon.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
