Pottery at Crackpotz Ceramic Café

19 June 2015 by Eileen

A few weeks ago, we went along with the Aiming High group hosted by the Staffordshire County Council to a pottery painting class at the Crackpotz Ceramic Café. This was my children’s first time painting pottery and they were both very excited.

It was not far from our home and it didn’t take us long to reach there but having lived here for a while, I had not been to this small village in the countryside before. It was delightfully peaceful too!

After we arrived, both children were asked to choose the ceramic pottery they would like to decorate. Ms C went for cat while Mr K went for shark. Next they started painting it.

Soon they both finished and I gave them a helping hand to do the touch up before handing it over for them to fire. Last week, we collected it and these are their masterpieces! They both love it and it sits pride of place on their window sills!

I am very impressed with Mr K’s shark! He gave it a double tone skin and it looks absolutely great. Ms C’s cat looks so cute too. It is a tiger cat!
