LEGO Explorer at National Sea Life Centre

29 June 2015 by Eileen

This summer until 31st August 2015, Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre will feature a LEGO® City Deep Sea Experience where little visitors can take part to explore the secrets of the ocean and to become an official LEGO Explorer.

You will receive a Dive Log book with fun facts and a list of items to embark on a novel treasure hunt to seek out LEGO® creations hidden amongst the colourful marine life in the displays.

Once you complete your hunt (at the end of the visit), you will receive an activity pack that includes; an Official LEGO® Deep Sea Explorer certificate, sticker sheet, fun Scuba mask and more. You can also get hands-on and build your own LEGO® sea creature! Mr K built a turtle and Ms C created a four legged whale.

We have been to the Sea Life Centre a few times now. Each time, they always have something new for us to explore! Besides looking at those lovely sea creatures, we also enjoyed hunting for different LEGO® treasure hidden around the sea creatures.

Also there is a new 4D film, 20,000 leagues under the sea. This is based on the classic tale from Jules Verne. The film takes you on the journey of teenager Ned as he plunges into a world of adventure aboard the submarine Nautilus commanded by the mysterious Captain Nemo. It is a great short film, with special effects including wind blasts, water splashes, bubbles, fish swimming out of the screen and many more. We all thought it was great and it was a shame it had to end!

We all enjoyed our day out and would definitely go back again. For further information or to pre-book tickets online before your visit, please go to www.SEALIFE.co.uk/birmingham. Reduced prices are available for tickets booked in advance. For regular news, updates and competitions, The National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham is also on Facebook and Twitter.

Disclosure: We have received free entry for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Such a great idea! It’s bound to be a lot of fun for kids, especially since there are LEGO activities.
