Casdon Pick & Mix Sweet Shop

28 June 2015 by Eileen

Sweet shop is open! Does your little one like to role play and to pretend to be a sweet shop owner? My children do! They were over the moon when they saw this Casdon Pick & Mix Sweet Shop! Mr K said this is something he had wanted for a long time! In fact, mummy too! I always wanted to own a pretend one! I even bought the M&M chocolate dispenser while we were in London! They both were excited to take turns to be the shopkeeper.

This Pick & Mix is very simple to assemble. It took me less than 5 minutes to piece everything together and stick the three stickers that were provided. It also comes with four lollipops and a packet of mixed candies. The candies have a long expiry date but it is worth checking before you give it to your children.

The workable weighing scale is a fantastic idea. Once you measure your sweets, simply lift up the plastic scale dish and tip it into a plastic/paper bag. This also includes plastic coins and paper money. The paper money is made from a thin paper, so it is very easily torn. The Pick & Mix also has a cashier drawer to store your money but it is not very easily to slide out. Sometimes it gets stuck  but a few wiggles and it will open.

The two plastic containers come with an easy open cap for little ones. It also means you have to be careful that they do not tip it upside down.

It is suitable for children aged 3 and above. Overall, this is a good quality toy as it helps children to develop problem solving, motor skills and counting skills too! It is available to buy from Amazon, Tesco Direct, Hamleys, Argos, Toymaster, Morrisons, Toysrus and other good shops.
