Did you all have a picnic last week for National Picnic Week? We did! We were blessed with nice weather and so we were able to go to Beacon Park. The pollen count was high too. Mr K and I suffer from hay fever but luckily we had prepared for the worst!
Once again, Warburtons have not disappointed me with their products. Yet again, they have brought out another innovative and quirky sandwich! Sandwich thins shaped in Cat and Van designs! What a clever idea to add fun into our food. These designs give us so many ways to be creative and to make the sandwich look more appetising!
My family were intrigued by these Cat and Van shapes sandwich thins. They all adored the shapes especially my children. To make the sandwiches more fun and attractive, I bought packets of cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, cheese, sandwich fillings like ham, egg mayo and others.
For the van sandwich thin, I had added half cherry tomatoes as the wheels and cucumber skins for the door frame.
For the cat sandwich thin, I simply added sliced the carrots as the eyes and cucumber skin around it for the decoration. Mr C did mention that I had missed the whiskers on the cat’s face. I did try but it didn’t look very nice. Hopefully next time, I will master the art of creative food!
If you have been eating Warburtons sandwich thin, these shaped thins are the same flavour and consistency. The only difference is the shape. The quality and taste of the sandwich thin has not been compromised and is as tasty as before! Now these shaped thins are available to buy in Asda and Waitrose at £1.28 per pack of 6.
