Kärcher Window Vac WV2 Review

5 April 2015 by Eileen 4 Comments

When is the last time you cleaned your windows? I have to be honest that it has been almost a year since I cleaned ours! I do hate cleaning windows as it takes a long time to do properly. Firstly, you have to wash it with warm soapy water, then wipe the water away and finish by using a dry cloth to make sure there is no water mark left on the window. In the end, I will end up with 2 buckets of water, 2 cloths and maybe a paper towel!

But with Kärcher window vac WV2, I save more time and use less items! I am astonished at how easy it is to use. Before I tell you the secret, let me tell you what is inside this box:

  • 280mm nozzle
  • Handheld window vac
  • Charger
  • Instructions

Setting it up is very simple. Firstly, you have to charge it for about an hour or so before use. If the on/off button constantly illuminates green, it means it is fully charged. Next, attach the nozzle onto the window vac and it is ready to use.

In my video, I will show you how I disassemble the window vac and how it works.

I have received the Window Vac WC 2 but you could also get the WV2 plus which comes with spray bottle, wiping attachment and window cleaning concentrate. Since WV 2 does not come with a spray bottle, I have to make my own cleaning solution which is warm water and washing liquid. As simple as that! Or you could even use a glass/window cleaning solution.

Next, soak the cloth with the cleaning solution and wipe the window with it. Then quickly use the Kärcher window vac to vacuum up all the water. Next you will have a sparkling clean window! I was amazed that it didn’t leave any watermarks on the window, so therefore there is no need to dry the window with a dry cloth too. It saves so much time and hassle!

The width of the window vac is 280mm and the only problem I’ve experienced with this is when you have a small window or odd shape window. So occasionally, I have to mop up small amounts of water at the joint/bottom.

This is easy to use and lightweight. There is an easy pour hole to pour out the waste water. It is very efficient and sucks the water well with very low noise. It is easy to disassemble to clean too.

Overall, this is a good window vac that does the job very well. They are available to buy online, at Amazon and good stores.
