Two years ago, we discovered Heroes of the City and got in touch to review their app. They have been going from strength to strength and even have a movie on their YouTube channel.
For any of you who have not heard of Heroes of the City, they are a pre-school children’s television cartoon about rescue vehicles in a small town where everybody gets to be a hero! In the show, you get to meet Pauli Police Car and Fiona Fire Engine as they help the townspeople find thieves, put out fires and solve crime that happens in the otherwise quiet town. You will also get to know Calamity Crow, the most misunderstood bird in town. The cartoon is suitable for children aged 2 – 6.
On the YouTube Channel, you will find 6 hours of entertainment for the younger children. The videos are high quality. The YouTube channel is available in 18 different languages.
It is very easy to navigate through their YouTube channel playlists. They are labelled clearly with season 1, 2, short film for toddler and many more. Each video has a good description of the show so you can determine if it is appropriate before showing to your child.
They also have a playlist for craft! In the Calamity Crow Kids Crafting Show, you will get inspiration for all kinds of different kid’s crafts you can make at home with your children. This is one of their example: Characters out of paper rolls.
Next is their Calamity Crow Sketch and Guess show playlist. It is a short clip to try to guess what’s being drawn before the picture is completed. I love how they used their free hand to draw the subjects! How I wish I could do that! So do pop by to their YouTube channel and discover more about their cartoons!
