Drumond Park Rapidough Review

10 March 2015 by Eileen

Rapidough is the original game of modelling charades that has recently been thoroughly refreshed to provide many hours of fun with family and friends! This is suitable for ages 8 onwards and for 4 or more players. The more the merrier. This is great to play during an adult party too!

It comes with a box of 300 Rapidough word cards, 2 containers of modelling dough, 2 modelling tools, 2 modelling plastic mats, 2 Rapidough plungers and instructions.

The object of the game is simple! Try to be the first team to guess a word being modelled by one of your team mates before the other team guesses their word and gets to steal a plug of your dough. In this game, there are only two teams: yellow and blue. Each team selects a Modeller for the first round.

There are three types of cards which needs to be well shuffled before placed in the box. The first type of card comes with only one word, second type of card comes with three words and the third type of card come with two words which are on different coloured backgrounds.

This is a fast and furious game and immensely funny to see everyone’s creations. It also gets quite difficult at the end of each round when the losing team loses one plug of the dough. The dough gets smaller and smaller each time! The winning team do not get to use the losing dough as it has to placed back into the container.

We found that sometimes the word might look easy but they are the most difficult to model like cheese grater and grapes even though the dough is very easy to model and soft to touch.

We find that Rapidough is a great game that will keep us wanting to play more. It is hilarious and fun at the same time! It gets quite challenging when trying to model using just the little dough left. I would definitely recommend it.
