Orbeez Hand Spa Review

7 February 2015 by Eileen

Are you having a girly birthday party or a pretend spa day with your children? Orbeez Hand Spa might be the answer! This is an ultimate spa experience for your little one. It features a whirlpool of swirling Orbeez plus a 3 in 1 hand and nail care tool.

The hand spa measures 30.5cm x 9cm x 25.5cm. It is suitable for children aged 5 and above. It requires 4 AA batteries to power the waterfall. Setting it up is very simple and straightforward. Make sure you have a hand towel nearby to clean up all the water drips. After installing the batteries, press the waterfall spout into the slot in the basin until it fits snug. Fill the hand spa basin with clean water and pour in water beads but do not overfill the basin with too many water beads. Turn it on and you will see the water beads and water swirl around the spa and the water will cascade down the waterfall. Rest your hands inside the hand spa basin and massage your hands by playing with the water beads or using the nail care tool. Then take your hand out to dry before you buff your nails.

Orbeez Hand Spa

Both my children enjoy playing with the water beads more than having a hand spa! They both played for a long time just squeezing the water beads and transfer them into a cup and back again. After the hand spa, both their nails are very soft and easy for me to trim.

To keep the hand spa, I poured the water beads into a clean container for later use and sealed it tight. Then I turned the hand spa upside down to drain all the water from the hand spa.

Overall, it is a fun toy for girls and boys. It can get quite wet and messy. The hand spa RRP is £19.99 which is more than I would pay for but if you have two girls at home who would love a spa and painting nails, this would be great for them or maybe for hosting a themed party. They are available to buy from Character Options and all good shops.

F loves playing with water beads and I must admit I find them quite relaxing too! Not sure I would pay this much for the hand spa but it is a nice idea.

This looks really different and something my two would enjoy. They love water beads!
