Little Galaxy App Review

13 December 2014 by Eileen

Little Galaxy has marked 1 million downloads with its biggest ever update on Tablet and Mobile devices for iOS and Android. The app is suitable for children and adults alike. Follow the adventures of a young boy with dreams of living on a far-away galaxy by jumping from planet to planet.

Little Galaxy app review

The aim of the game is for players to control the inventor as he progresses through levels and completes a number of challenges by leaping from planet to planet. My 7 year old son finds it easy to play using the one-touch system. This game helps children to stay focused on the planet and learn to be patient as when to jump at the right time to collect the stars and diamonds. Collecting the stars and diamonds help them to complete each level as well as earn upgrades and bonuses.

The graphics are great which brings the galaxy, stars and planets to life. We enjoyed listening to the background music but whenever the boy fails to reach the other planets, he would scream (sounds like he has fallen). I do find it quite eerie especially as I keep letting the boy fall off of the planets. On the other hand, my son is so good at it. He was able to leap from planet to planet and achieve the objectives. He enjoys playing for a few levels but did get bored as it does get a bit repetitive. He did try to achieve a few more levels to get to upgrade his character. With this new update to enhance the gaming experience, including the ability for players to unlock new male and female characters as well as dress them in a huge array of cool costumes including pirate, princess, footballer and ninja. This definitely will get children to play it more. The game also features a host of upgradeable power ups that can affect gameplay including a star-attracting magnet and a comet that adds more time.

LITTLE GALAXY is available as a free and premium app on the App Store and Google Play. The free version enables players to purchase diamonds, which can then be used to unlock extra characters and power-ups. So why not give it a try to see if your child likes it as it is free. The premium game is available for 1.49 GBP and 1.57 GBP on iOS devices and on Android devices respectively.

Disclosure: We were provided a free code to download the game for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
