Chocolat Chocolat Custom Made Review

14 December 2014 by Eileen 1 Comment

Are you sick of normal chocolate and fancy making your own chocolate bar? Chocolat Chocolat: the home of handmade chocolate is offering that with plenty of different flavours, toppings and many more to choose from, which is great for Christmas, birthday or any occasion.

I am very picky about chocolate. Normally I will go for milk chocolate with nuts. Hunting the right type down from the high street store or supermarket can be quite tricky as they may not stock the right type or run out of stock. With this Chocolat Chocolat Custom Made chocolate bar, I have so much of freedom to choose what I WANT inside my chocolate bar!

Chocolat Chocolat offers 1, 2 or 3 chocolate custom made bars from £5.95 to £14.95. Each handmade chocolate bar is carefully made by their staff and packed in a plastic sealed bag wrapped with a brown cardboard sleeve. Each bar weighs 100g and with at least 3 months best before.

Once you have selected the number of bars you would like to make, you then pick the chocolate: dark 70%, dark 55%, milk 34%, caramel 34% and white chocolate 28%). Next is to select toppings which you can either click on the presets or pick your own. You can choose up to 3 toppings per bar out of fruit, nuts, spices, herbs, flowers, confectionery, decoration and wording categories. It is very simple to select but you will be spoil with choices! Once you have selected all, just checkout!

I have picked two bars of milk chocolate with one praline & fudge and one with praline, pistachios, almonds and pecans! I have also made a dark chocolate bar for my husband with ginger pieces and wafer.

The milk chocolate is delicious, and is packed with lots of ingredients. Each mouthful is full with toppings. The bar is slightly hard but they just melt in your mouth which is brilliant. I love the thick chocolate. The dark chocolate with gingers bits is gorgeous too.

If you fancy making your own chocolate, do pop over to http://www.chocolatchocolat.co.uk/ and make one yourself. They not only sell custom made bars but also offer hot chocolates, sweets and even a chocolate tasting course. Check them out if you are in the Cambridge area.
