Chicken Charades Review

20 November 2014 by Eileen 2 Comments

Chicken Charades is a fast-paced game but this come with a twist! You have to use the rubber chicken to describe your word in 10 seconds. It was a big hit when we played it last weekend! Now my in-laws asked us to bring it along to the Christmas gathering to play! They all loved it. It was fun and quick! How I wish I had captured their actions on video! It was hilarious!

chicken charades university games review

This game is suitable for 8 years old and above. Inside the box, the game comes with:

  • 1x ‘squeaky’ chicken (need to fix chicken head to the body!)
  • 1 small storage box containing: 84 charade cards, 1x dice, 1x sand timer, instructions

This is a quick game for 3 or more players with no lengthy rules – whoever scores 10 points/cards wins the game. There are two different coloured sets cards (Red and Green) to choose from and everything is determined by how you and your chicken perform. There are 1008 charades and you have only 10 seconds to ensure your charade is guessed correctly.

After you have split your teams, the youngest member of the team starts the game. To play this game, the actor/actress needs to roll the dice. The number on the dice indicates the number of the word on the card that he/she should act out. Each side of the card has six different charades. The actor/actress has to use the chicken in the acting. It was quite hilarious when I tried to pretend to deep fry the chicken and eat it (for ‘Fried Chicken’). Well, no one did exactly guess it right! Also when my husband bent the chicken over and shovel side to side (or that was my interpretation of what he did), there were some funny thoughts going through my mind! It was ‘Huddle’ in the end! I would not have guessed that! But it was hugely amusing just to see him do that!

The team gets to keep the card if they manage to guess it right. If they didn’t win, the other team has a chance to guess it.

Now charades have gone up another level! Adding the chicken gives it another dimension and increased the hilarity. It was fantastic fun! My photos don’t do it any justice! I would definitely recommend them! It is available to buy in good game shops and also Amazon.
