Rhino Shield Review – Samsung Galaxy Note 3

4 June 2014 by Eileen

Each time we buy a gadget with a screen, the first thought is to get screen protector and casing to prevent the new gadget from damaged. There are so many brands on the market and it’s sometimes difficult to decide which one to choose from. I used to buy cheap screen protectors simply because they were cheap. However, they wouldn’t last very long and after seeing a few demonstrations at the gadget show, I have totally changed my mind. Cheap screen protectors do not give you adequate protection from impact damage.

Rhino Shield Samsung

Rhino Shield has sent me their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen protector and a press kit.  Inside this press kit, it comes with two gorilla glasses (as used on many mobile phones), two screen protectors, a 45g metal ball and a stone board.

I had dropped the metal ball on the Rhino Shield on the glass several times and the glass didn’t break at all. Once I peeled off the Rhino Shield, I could see that the shield had taken the impact and it didn’t affect the glass at all. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/7l4lUUWrXw4

Rhino Shield come with six layers of protection and is as thin as 3 sheets of printer paper. It absorbs 5 times more impact energy than normal screen protectors. It also easy to clean, anti-fingerprint, scratch resistant and has zero-residue adhesive.

Inside this Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen protector pack, it comes with one Rhino Shield screen protector, two dust removal stickers, microfibre cloth and squeegee. It is easy to apply the screen protector and the dust removal sticker is so useful! I love how the sticker removed the micro dust on the screen protector itself. The screen protector is a very tight fit to the screen and it took Mr C a couple of times to apply it. It is free from bubble and dust.  Brilliant!

Rhino Shield screen Protector

We would highly recommend it to anyone. It provides really good protection, is easy to apply and and there are minimal finger marks on it. With this being more robust than those cheap screen protectors, I would expect it to last a good while so it is great value for money especially given the quality of the product!

You can now get Rhino Shield from their website: http://shopify.evolutivelabs.com/ which ships worldwide. To get more news about them, follow them on Twitter, Facebook or YouTube.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

I was impressed with the ball drop test- it’s much better to vlog some things rather than use photos isn’t it? Thanks for sending your video post to the Britmums Video Roundup – I’ll use it in July!

[…] Thanks to Jacamo for coming to the rescue for this Father’s day. This coming Sunday is Father’s day and to get a gift for men can be as hard as getting a gift for a fussy lady! Especially for Mr C!  He is a man who is happy with anything and can be a man who does not need anything. Well, of course, he can’t live without his phone! However, I already got him a Rhino Shield screen cover for his new phone. You can read my review and watch my video here. […]
