Lichfield Bower is back again! It is the oldest traditional festival in Lichfield held every spring bank holiday. It is about 800 years old. This year it was held on 26 May 2014. Here’s a link back to what we saw last year.
This year at Beacon Park, they had more and even better shows! We saw Big Pete’s Monster Truck show where they raced around the field and trashed those cars! It was breath taking each time they launched these massive trucks into the air, crushing the cars beneath them.
The festival included the first Paws in The Park show too. There were loads of activities like Scruffs Dog show, agility displays and a Search and Rescue demonstration. We also got to meet local canine partners who provide care, support and advice to dog owners in the Lichfield area and there was the opportunity to have dogs micro-chipped for free by the nice people at The Dog’s Trust.
The kids favourite part though was the Pat Collins Funfair! Ms C and Mr K went on many of the rides and also had a go on Hook a Duck which is one of their favourite funfair games! They also rock climbed, trampolined, rode a quad bike, teacup, swings and the choo choo train!
What a fab and fun day out at the park!
