These are a few of my favourite drama which I like to share and recommend:
1. He’s Beautiful/You’re Beautiful (Korean)
Go Mi Nyu is a sister-in-training. Her twin brother, Go Mi Nam successfully auditions for the musical band A.N.JELL but is forced to leave for the United States to correct a botched plastic surgery. Mi Nyu is approached by Mi Nam’s manager to pose as Mi Nam while he recovers. She is against it at first but agrees in order to fulfill her dream of finding their mother. Now, posing as Mi Nam, Mi Nyu enters the group A.N.JELL and meets its members: Hwang Tae Kyung, Kang Shin Woo and Jeremy. At first, Tae Kyung does not like Mi Nam and makes her life hard, Shin Woo and Jeremy are friendly to her. Tae Kyung discovers that Mi Nam is a girl and threatens to reveal it, Shin Woo discovers it but does not relieve it and develops feelings for her, the story follows their lives away from the camera and Mi Nam’s efforts to keep her secret, her life is made harder by Tae Kyung’s initial hatred for her and the evil actress Yoo He Yi, who likes Tae Kyung; After a while, Jeremy also discovers the truth and develops liking for Mi Nam too. Mi Nam and Tae Kyung became lovers eventually.

2. Secret Garden (Korean)
The drama tells the story of Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji-won), a poor and humble stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses, and Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), an arrogant and eccentric CEO who maintains the image of seeming perfection. Their accidental meeting, when Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin, marks the beginning of a tense, bickering relationship, through which Joo Won tries to hide a growing attraction to Ra Im that both confuses and disturbs him. To complicate matters further, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.

3. 49 Days (Korean)
Ji-Hyun’s (Nam Gyu-Ri) life seems to be storybook perfect. Her parents adore her and her friends all seem to admire her. Ji-Hyun is also engaged and set to marry her fiance Min-Ho (Bae Su-bin) in just a few days. Meanwhile, Yi-Kyung (Lee Yo-Won) is a woman who is completely distraught over her life after her boyfriend died in an accident, and frequently contemplates suicide. She works the night shift at a convenient store, while sleeping in the afternoons.
On a fateful day, Yi-Kyung gets off a bus and wanders around. She then stands in front of a busy street and attempts to kill herself by walking into oncoming traffic, resulting in a massive car pile-up. At that time, somebody saves her life by pulling her back. At this moment, Ji-Hyun, who is driving nearby, fails to hit her brakes and crashes into a semi truck that has stopped in the middle of the road. Moments later, Ji-Hyun walks out of her car in a daze. She is shocked to see her body being carted into an ambulance. The only person who seems to notice her standing in the road is a man on a motorcycle. The man on the motorcycle is the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo) – an angel of sorts who takes souls to their final destinations.
Ji-Hyun follows her body into the ambulance and watches as the paramedics attempt to revive her body. At the hospital, Ji-Hyun meets the Scheduler again. The Scheduler tells Ji-Hyun that since it was not yet her scheduled time to die, she is given a chance to recover from her vegetative state and live. That is, if she succeeds in her mission: she must gather three pure teardrops from three people who truly love her, apart from her family, within the next 49 days. Ji-Hyun instantly thinks of her fiance and two best friends and is certain she will live again. Ji-Hyun then takes over the body of the suicidal Yi-Kyung in her quest to find three such persons. Ji-Hyun gets a job at a restaurant owned by her high school friend Han Kang (Jo Hyeon Jae).
At this time, Ji-Hyun’s memory starts to return to her. Before the accident, Ji-Hyun remembers going to see her best friend to show the bridesmaid dress she had chosen for her. When she arrived, Ji-Hyun saw her best friend and her fiance sitting intimately together in a car. She was then driving to confront them when the accident occurred. Finally coming to her senses about their betrayal, Ji-Hyun now realizes that it won’t be so easy to find three people who genuinely love her.
Rate: 9/10
It is a sad ending but the twist in the story is great!
4. Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy (Korean)
A tough teacher with an attitude and her cute student have an exciting time at school. Bori was a legend in high school for being a troublemaker and getting into fights. Then one day she gets expelled from school for being involved in a fight. After overcoming numerous hardships, she gets a job as a substitute teacher at her old high school. She is excited with the fact that she will be able to meet her old teacher, Ji Hyeon-woo, whom she has had a crush on for years. But a troublemaker in her class, Tae-in, keeps getting her into trouble. Tae-in is a smart and an athletic student. From Tae-in’s point of view, he dislikes Bo-ri because she isn’t smart but at the same time, has a headstrong personality. As his relationship with his teacher turns for the worst, he gradually becomes attracted to her through a series of complicated events…
Rate: 7/10
Sweet story!
5. Personal Taste/Personal Preference (Korean)
Jeon Jinho, a budding architect, is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become roommate to Park Gae In, the owner of a mysterious house that has never been opened to outsiders. His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. He’s a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out women’s feelings. Gae In is very trusting, which people take advantage of constantly. However, that doesn’t stop her from giving people the benefit of doubt and Jin Ho is no different.his love is real but to people it seems as if appearance versus reality. he brought new meaning of life to park gae ni nmn.
Rate: 7/10
Cute love story.
6. Summer’s Desire (Tawainese)
Xia Mo and Luo Xi were orphans living at the same foster home. They became close friends after Luo Xi saved Xia Mo from an embarrassing situation at a singing competition. However, Luo Xi fell for Xia Mo. On the other hand, Ou Chen, a young master from a rich family, was deeply in love with Xia Mo, so he deliberately separate those two by sending Luo Xi to England. 5 years later, Luo Xi came back as a superstar with tons of fans, while Xia Mo was newly signed by a record label. Just when they met, Ou Chen lost his memory.
Rate: 8/10
I like this story is more on Ou Chen who loves Xia Mo more than his life. Nice story.
7. Autumn’s Concerto (Taiwanese)
Ren Guang Xi (Vanness Wu), a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He’s the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player with good looks and charisma to boot. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng (Ady An), the new Bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery, that would result in waking up with no memory of his past at all. His mother orders Mu Cheng to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Later she learns that she already has Guang Xi’s child.
Six years pass. Mu Cheng lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer with no memory of his past and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. Guang Xi has flashbacks during a case and hits his client. The community service he is mandated to do by the law board sends him to the same town that Mu Cheng and Xiao Le (Guang Xi’s son) is living. There, he develops a bond and friendship with the mother and son. After he leaves, Xiao Le goes to Taipei to find “Uncle Guang Xi” and meets Guang Xi’s mother and collapses from his illness, diabetes. He Yi Qian, Guang Xi’s fiancee operates on Xiao Le and gives Guang Xi a wristband that contains photos of him and Mu Cheng. The day before the wedding, Guang Xi sees a memory card of pictures of the two lovers. Guang Xi suddenly realizes that everything that everyone told him was lies and the memories begin to rush back. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi’s heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Cheng, which leads to him knowing about the true father of Xiao Le. He leads to the court to fight for Mu Cheng’s friend’s custody. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time?
Rate: 8/10
It is a bit slow to start but the story is great!
8. Hi My Sweetheart (Taiwanese)
Xue Hai (Show Luo) is a certifiable dork who comes from a wealthy family and had been protected by his oldest sister, Xue Bo for most of his life. One day, at age 20, he decided to move out of his comfort zone and study abroad in Hangzhou. To protect his identity as the heir of his family’s wealth, Xue Bo, gave him an alias “Lin Da Lang,” who is supposed to be a poor student.
At Zhejiang University, Da Lang meets Chen Bao Zhu (Rainie Yang): an eccentric, friendless alpha-female social rebel. Lin Da Lang becomes unconditionally persistent for her friendship and endlessly delivers a peaceful and constant variable of support and acceptance to her neglected life. Unaware of Lin Da Lang’s background, Bao Zhu teaches him the norms and social baby steps of every day life. As she begins to drop her guard, Da Lang vows to always be with her, and they fall in love. During this time, Chen Bao Zhu’s father goes bankrupt and flees, leaving her and her mother behind. Using Bao Zhu’s father as an example of poverty and failure, Bao Zhu’s mother refuses to accept Lin Da Lang’s relationship with her daughter and orders her to break up with Da Lang or she will prevent his graduation. Out of fear for Da Lang, Bao Zhu lies to her mother in a note, and agrees to an arranged marriage. Secretly, however, Bao Zhu plans to elope with Da Lang. At the same time, Da Lang – unaware of the conflict – wishes to propose and confess his true identity and wealth to Chen Bao Zhu. On Bao Zhu’s birthday, Da Lang and Chen Bao Zhu make plans to meet, both unaware of each other’s mutual objectives for a joint future. Da Lang purchases an engagement ring and heads to the meeting spot; but as Chen Bao Zhu leaves to meet Lin Da Lang, she is hit by a car and knocked unconscious for months. Da Lang continued to wait, but she never showed. Worried, Da Lang later visits her home, and Chen Bao Zhu’s mother lies to him and reports she is in Europe and will soon marry someone else, showing him the note Bao Chu left. Unaware of Bao Zhu’s true intentions, Da Lang comes to the conclusion he was recklessly abandoned by his first love. Xue Hai drops his alias of Da Lang, loses his simplistic innocent take on life, and vows not to ever commit to a relationship again.
Three years later, back in Kaohsiung, Xue Hai has transformed himself into an egocentric playboy and now does not hide his wealth. The new Xue Hai believes that he is invulnerable. Xue Hai overhears Bao Zhu’s familiar voice on the radio as a local DJ named Sweetheart. Xue Hai looks, acts and feels like a new person. Feeling he’s now unrecognizable, Xue Hai buys the radio station in order to seek revenge. His objective was to coerce her into falling in love with his new self, only to then dump her in revenge. However after seeing Bao Zhu with He Yan Feng (Lee Wei), her high-school senior/judo master, Xue Hai becomes jealous and soon realizes that he still have feelings for her. Xue Hai then sets his mind on destroying the relationship of Chen and her “boyfriend”, while he continually pursues her, often forgetting whether it’s out of love or revenge.
Rate: 7/10
It is a bit slow towards the end but just like how Show Luo in this character. He is really good!
9. My Girl (Korean)
When Gong-chan (Lee Dong-wook) meets the lively and beautiful Yu-rin (Lee Da-hae), he finds out that she has connections to his missing cousin, who his grandfather has been searching for a long time. He asks Yu-rin to lie about being his long missing cousin until he can find his real cousin. She says yes, but soon their feelings for each other get in the way of their plans. Gong-chan’s friend Jung-woo (Lee Joon Ki) falls for Yu-rin while Gong-chan’s ex girlfriend, Seo-hyun (Park Si Yeon), who is a pro tennis player, tries to win him back. Will the two ever tell each other how they feel? Will Gong-chan ever find his real sister? My Girl was a Top Ten hit in Korea in 2006, aided by the appearance of hot new actor, Lee Joon Ki.

10. Prince turns to Frog (Taiwanese)
Shan Jun Hao, the CEO to a large hotel chain, is the stereotypical heir – spoiled, coldhearted, and ruthless. He meets Ye Tian Yu, a schemer and somewhat of a gold-digger and after a series of events, Tian Yu “accidentally” runs Jun Hao over. Turns out, Jun Hao has lost all of his memories and became a kindhearted and loving person. Just when love is in the air, Jun Hao’s family came looking for him and he has a fiancée who loves and misses him. Some more “accidents” occurred, and Jun Hao lost all of his memories of Tian Yu and went back to being a spoiled heir. However, Tian Yu fights for their love even though Jun Hao thinks of her as a lying schemer. Will Jun Hao remember his love for Tian Yu? Who will Jun Hao choose? And who is the person causing all the “accidents”?
