Lakeland Furniture Office Chairs

1 August 2013 by Eileen

Recently, you might have seen that I had a revamp of our baby room and turned it into my office. Instead of buying a proper office chair, I bought myself a pink beach chair! Of course, this was temporary as the lack of thicker padding meant it was not comfortable after sometime in it.

I am so pleased that Lakeland Furniture offered to allow me to review an office chair! I picked this gorgeous and posh looking Milano Executive Boardroom Office Chair in white! This morning when I received it, it came in a huge box. The seat and frame comes unassembled.  The other items are four screws, two washers, two plastic caps and a hex screw so it requires minimal assembly, but actually it was not easy to build.  It was easier with two people.  Mr C had to screw the seat and frame together while I held everything in place.

Two tips I’d like to share with you. Firstly, I found it easier to screw the bottom of the seat onto the frame before you screw the side of the seat. I found this out after some trial and error!  Secondly, pushing the caps into the frame is not easy and so having a mallet or hammer handy is useful.

After assembly, it feels very sturdy and of course very comfortable.  The seat is  covered in padded soft PU leather and is a fixed height. The legs are a polished chrome. The stitches on the leather look neatly stitch. It is very spacious chair and the arm rests are spongy. I love how naturally springy it is while sitting on it. I rate this chair stars out of 5. It fits the theme of my room beautifully.

Lakeland Furniture specialise in high end reproductions of famous designs of all the modern classics, as well as a huge range of the UK’s best value bar stools and dining chairs. They are also one of the UK’s largest suppliers of Bar Stools, Dining Chairs & Classic Furniture Reproductions. If you like what you see, remember to check out their website. I’m sure you’ll find something you like for your home office!

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Great review, I love my laptop but I slouch around with it and would really like to get back to sitting comfortably at a desk!

That does look a really nice chair – and I love that it isn’t plain black! I would also worry white would get grubby, but it gos beautifully with your room 🙂

Looks great – as much as I like a white chair, I just imagine it getting grubby from my two’s little hands so would opt for a darker colour. Looks great against the background of your room though.
