Iron Man 3 was released in cinemas on the 25th April. It stars Robert Downey Jr. returning as Marvel’s brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark, whose alter ego is of course Iron Man, fighting against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible.
Hasbro and Marvel yet again had done everything to give the children or their fans a piece of Iron Man. From Sonic Blasting Iron Man figure to Arc Fx Iron Man mask. I am fortunate to receive the Arc Fx Gauntlet Iron Man from markettiers4dc for review. My son is very excited as Iron Man is one of his favourite Avengers characters. In terms of his toys, besides figurines, he loves toys which can shoot.
There are two items to assemble on the gauntlet. It is the handle and cover. It is very easy to slot it in. It doesn’t come with batteries, so you ‘ll need to get your hands on 3 x AA battery before you able to fire Nerf foam discs (10 included). It fires more than 6 metres with the motorised rapid-fire blasting action. Once it is turned on, it can be quite loud. The flap is easy to lift up to load the foam discs. The compartment can hold five foam discs at a time. It is not easy to wear the wrist strap. It can be quite fiddly. Mr K loves playing with it but felt that it is too heavy to wear for long periods. It is suitable for five years old and above.
It retails at £19.99 which I think is a fair price for this type of toy. I rate this 4 stars out of 5. The gauntlet is very well made and great for older children to role play.
