Imutest Airborne Screen Kit

8 October 2012 by Eileen 1 Comment

Few weeks ago, I had won an Imutest Airborne Screen kit through talkallergy. I received this kit within 2 days. Excellent customer service and fast delivery!  I had never had an allergy until I came to the UK 10 years ago. My allergy seems to be getting worse and this kit will help answer some questions.

Imutest Airborne Allergy Screen helps diagnose allergies to the three most common airborne allergens (cat, dust mite and grass pollen) all in one simple test from a single, small finger prick sample of blood.

Imutest Airborne Screen Kit

Tonight, I had to pick up my courage to do the prick test. Beside the kit, you will need tissue paper and a stopwatch/timer. First, I washed my hand in warm water and dried my hands. Then I followed the instructions and pricked my finger, wiping away the first droplet and collected the next, larger drop of blood using the blood tube to collect the blood.

I then added the blood into the smaller well on the test unit and added the developer solution into the large well. After 15 minutes I pulled out the blue slider until it clicked into place. After another 15 minutes you can interpret your result.

The kit confirmed that I am positive allergic to grass pollen and a very thin pink line of dust mite. Great! Now I know I have to hide when summer comes!

Disclosure: I won this kit to do this review.
