Dead Sea Spa Magik Products

8 August 2012 by Eileen

As a busy mum of two young children I have no time to go to a spa or sometimes it’s struggle to even to have a nice hot bath.  When I got to review Dead Sea Spa Magik products, it was a good reason to make more ‘me’ time. I received a sachet of Mineral Shampoo & Hair Magik Serum, Spa Magik Salt Brushing 500g, Spa Find Dead Sea Bath Salts and Calmit Extract.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Products

Dead Sea Spa Magik Mineral Shampoo & Hair Magik Serum

Dead Sea Spa Magik Mineral Shampoo & Hair Magik Serum

The Mineral Shampoo helps invigorates hair and scalp, alleviates dandruff and soothes an irritated scalp but it is not suitable for vegans. The sachet contained a good amount of shampoo which was just the right quantity for my long hair. The shampoo had a very lovely smell, like the ocean sea breeze and lathered up nicely. After washing, I could feel my hair felt very clean and the smell stayed strong. After rinsing, I moved on to apply the Hair Magik Serum on my wet hair. It can also be applied to dry hair. It is a conditioning treatment, especially beneficial for dry and damaged hair. I had my hair dyed with permanent hair colourant and it was dry and damaged by the chemical. I left it for at least 3 – 5 minutes before I rinsed it away. My hair had an immediate effect.  It was so smooth and silky.  I was very pleased with the instant result!

The smell stayed on my hair for at least another 12 hours before it disappeared.  I really love the smell of my hair! I rate these two products 5 stars out of 5! I am indeed loving them and I will used them again! It was worth every penny! They are not just for pampering, they are for daily used!

Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing

Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing

It is for use it on a dry body with circular movements. It naturally exfoliates using a salt scrub with pure Dead Sea salts, Coconut oil and Vitamin E to deeply hydrate skin.

I have used Salt Brushing for over 3 weeks and I am still enjoying using it. There was one thing to learn is that it was best to use it in a bath tub rather than a small showers cubicle. It was a lot easier to apply the salt evenly. The Salt Brushing was quite runny due to the coconut oil and it will go everywhere if you are not careful enough. It was quite painful to use especially over some parts of my sensitive dry skin. It does sting a little, but that was expected to happen! It’s salt – that’s what salt does! After applying to my whole body, I rinsed it off and my skin was covered with coconut oil and it left my skin soft and smooth. A nice feature about the product is that there was no lasting smell from the coconut oil as coconut oil can be quite pungent.  I was very pleased that I smell like the ocean sea breeze!

Another thing to point out was it was oily but it didn’t make the bath tub very slippery.  It was very easy to clean and rinse off the bath surfaces. I rate this 4.5 out of 5 star.

Spa Find Calmit Extract (Intensive Anti-Ageing)

Spa Find Calmit Extract (Intensive Anti-Ageing)

When I opened up the parcel, the Calmit Extract packaging really stood out.  The packaging looked beautiful and expensive. I would be happy to receive this as a gift for Birthday, Christmas or from my husband!  Inside the beautiful box it contained three glass bottles. I expected this facial treatment to be oily but when I used it, it was very watery. But apparently the intensive anti-ageing facial treatment was blended with natural Harmonised water and Padina Pavonica algae. It has a white floral scent.

Directions for use:

Massage into the face, neck and decollete every morning and evening for one week of every month (Use approx 1 x 6 ml vial in one week). Alternatively use all 3 vials as an intensive treatment when skin needs a boost.

I had normal skin and have been using this product for weeks now. I poured a few drops into my hand and massaged into my face and neck. This instantly felt soothing and was quickly absorbed into my skin. After 3 weeks of use, my skin indeed feels much smoother.

I rated this 4 stars out of 5 star. Why this is not a perfect score because I felt the consistency is a little too watery resulting in me pouring out too much and dripping down onto the floor.

Spa Find Dead Sea Bath Salts

Spa Find Dead Sea Bath Salts

100% Natural Salts that alleviates dry and flaky skin disorders.  Helps improve and soften the skin and relieves aching joints and muscular pain. It comes in a 1 kg bag.

Directions for use

1. For concentrated use:

For dry skin conditions and aching joints, add contents to lukewarm bath.  Soak for about 20 minutes, rinse off and apply Heavenly Hydration Mineralizing body Lotion.  Wrap the body in a towel and relax for 30 minutes. Repeat 3 times per week.

2. For relaxation and skin toning:

Add a handful or two to a warm bath.

3. For aching or cracked hands and feet:

Add contents to 2.5 litres (Half gallon) of warm water. Re-use solution for up to two weeks by re-heating. Soak daily for 30 minutes and rinse.

N.B. As a general guide, the higher the mineral concentration in the water the better the result.  It can be used on babies and children.

I am generally not a big fan of taking baths as I don’t have time to soak in a warm bath without getting disturbed from my children. However, it does feel relaxing after using the bath salts.  How I wish I could do that every night! Beside using it as for a normal bath, I love the multi-purpose nature of the product! I will try it on my children as two of them have eczema. Currently, I rate this product 4 out of 5 stars but this score may change as I use it for other purposes.

You can find out more information on these products from www.shopforspa.com. They also can be found on Amazon, Holland & Barrett, John Lewis or other retailers. Have you tried them? Let me know what you think about them!
