Yet again another fantastic Summer holiday event organised by the Lichfield District libraries. Today we got to meet at least 10 different types of reptiles, mammals, and insects. The handler was there to explain the history behind the wiggly creatures, their unique way of protecting themselves and how to handle them etc. There was a lot of interaction and the kids were allowed to handle the creatures. Mr K was amused by all of them and he held every single reptile/mammal on show including the snail and cockroach. Ms C was not so keen to hold them. She was quite scared actually. At least she was brave enough to take a closer look at them!
Once again, for £2 per child, the 1.5 hour session was a great bargain! Lichfield District libraries should promote more of these activities to encourage children to learn more about unusual animals. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I would rate this event 5 stars out of 5!
