Jungle Express Floor Puzzle

27 August 2012 by Eileen

Jungle Express is a new jigsaw puzzle due to launch in August 2012 by Orchard Toys. This puzzle gives you the opportunity to talk with your child about what’s happening in the picture, while developing their observational skills. It is suitable for age 3 – 6 years old.

Jungle Express Floor Puzzle

There are 30 pieces in this puzzle. They are thick and durable, which makes it easier for first-time jigsaw puzzlers to join them up. The size of the completed puzzle is 88 cm by 30.4 cm. The picture story is bright and colourful! There is so much of counting going on there (1 – 10) and so many animals to spot that it keeps my children busy for quite a while. It is educational and children love it. At the back of the box, there are some suggestions for activities and questions for you to share with your child.

Can you find the crocodiles?

How many crocodiles can you see?

What is the crocodile doing?

Which animal is flying a kite?

How many lions can you see?

What is the colour of the giraffes’ carriage?

How many babies does mummy hippo have?

How many different kinds of animals can you see?

Where do you think the train is going?

Further Questions

How many animals are there on the train?

Which animals are in front of the turtles?

Which animals have the longest necks?

Are there more giraffes or lions on the train?

Which is the biggest animal?

How many butterflies can you see?

Which animal is holding the banana?

Mr K found it tricky as he is not used to doing puzzles.  We gave him a lot of help initially but soon after he got the hang of it and he found it was very enjoyable. After he finished it, he even made up his own story. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/WbhXiDqKn1k

Disclosure: We received Jungle Express Puzzle from Orchard Toys through Izziwizzi Kids for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Great review, and video, thanks Eileen. So glad that Keiran got the hang of it in the end. There’ll be no stopping him now, where jigsaws are concerned!
