Bumbo Toilet Seat Review

19 May 2012 by Eileen

I had bought at least 5 different potty seats but none of them were big enough to cover the toilet seat (new build house). So I had high hopes for this bumbo toilet seat. Having owned a bumbo chair before, the soft spongy, easy-to-clean material felt very nice and familiar.

Bumbo Toilet Seat Review

Our son felt immediately comfortable on it and the design looks suitable for girls too.  For our son, it was nice to have the front wall high enough – we’ve used potty where they’ve been too low and there have been spillages.  For boys though, I would not recommend it for number 1’s but number 2’s are fine.

On the negative side, the seat does move around when placed on the toilet seat but once sat on, it is fine.  We really love it. It is lightweight, easy to clean and I don’t need to supervise him using it as it supports your child really well.

We have used ours for 2 years now and the material looks still new!  For my daughter, it works perfectly for number 1 or 2! I would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars.  You can see Bumbo Seat and tray’ review on my blog.  You can get it from Amazon and any good retailer shops.

[…] My rating for the seat is 4 out of 5 stars. I think it is money well spent. The tray is an optional extra.  I was quite surprised that it had to be attached on the seat before you put your child in it.  Sometimes it is difficult to manoeuvre the child’s legs into the seat. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. It is useful as a tray for food or toys but it is a bit cumbersome to use. I had also done a review for another Bumbo’s product, please see Bumbo Toilet Seat. […]
