Earlier this month, I and a few fellow bloggers were invited to an allergy awareness event hosted by e-cloth, the UK ‘s number one chemical free cleaning cloth in London with key speakers from Royal Garden Hotel and The Green Cleaner.
If you have not heard of e-cloth, e-cloth’s range of award winning products achieve a deeper clean thanks to millions of clever tiny fibres that break up, trap and absorb grease, dirt and remove over 99% of bacteria using just water. The brand’s smart products are perfect for families. Not only can you save money on expensive cleaning products, e-cloth can save you precious time by reducing the effort required to remove stubborn dirt. For parents who are wary of using harsh chemicals around small children or those with allergies, the “just add water” mantra of e-cloth is ideal. Additionally, e-cloth has fantastic eco-credentials so you can achieve superior cleaning guilt-free.
As part of the allergy lifestyle guide e-cloth has worked with The Green Cleaner, a company which helps householders find cleaners trained in chemical-free methods, to provide some simple but effective tips on removing chemicals from your cleaning routine.
Co-founder of the green cleaner, Vicki Bates shared four key ingredients for making your own cleaning products. They are lemon juice, white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and citric acid. If you would like to find out more, take a look at their website.
Laurence Smith, commercial director of e-cloth, demonstrated how easy it is to clean lip gloss from the mirror by using water and e-cloth! I wouldn’t have thought that lip gloss mixed with water would work very well, but to my amazement, it came off really easily!
They also demonstrated how easy it is to clean the floor with the deep clean mop. The mop’s special weave and long fibres break up and hold grease and dirt which ordinary mops leave behind. The head is attached with Velcro and can swiftly be detached for a quick rinse or wash.
We were sent e-cloth’s top selling general purpose cloth, window cloth, tea towel and new wash and wipe cloth set, as well as products from their beauty range, e-body, including a face cleansing mitt, hair turban and luxury hand towel.
We are no strangers to e-cloth having used and reviewed a range of their other products previously. I love how the cloths work and each time they clean nicely. However, this is the first time using e-body and I love it! This is their beauty range and it works using the same microfibre technology and just water to clean. The e-body face mitt quickly and gently removes make-up without the need for harsh and expensive make-up removers or cleansing lotions. Similar to e-cloths, e-body products remove dirt and other impurities from your face and body without harming you or irritating any allergies you may have. The face mitt just fits onto my big hand and it feels very comfortable. I don’t wear make-up so I used it for normal cleansing and it cleans well.
As for the hair turban, it is like a long wig. There is an elastic hook at the end to loop it around the button on the top. I am not used to having a turban wrap around my head but it does dry well.
Next is the luxury hand towel. The length is slightly on the short side for my liking. It measures 75 by 35 cm. It does dry very well and the material is soft leaving my hands feeling soft.
In the kitchen section, there is the e-towel classic check tea towel. I didn’t realise that e-cloth also make with tea towels. The tea towels I bought over the years don’t absorb water or dry dishes very well. I’m happy to report that these do and again they are very soft to touch. As for the wash & wipe cloths, I think I ripped the packaging too hard which may have caused the tear in the e-cloth. The fibres grip the grease and dirt well but it does also mean that it doesn’t glide very well. I have to keep lifting up while cleaning. Otherwise it is easy to rinse off and use.
I would highly recommend e-cloth for their simplicity and their cleaning ability. Do check out the rest of their products from bathroom to kitchen. You will be impressed with their products and it saves buying a lot of cleaning products. Also it will be kinder to your hands, the environment and great for people who have allergies too!
