Where Are My Lambs? is a book written by Francesca Simon and illustrated by Emily Bolam. This is the blue Early Reader and is perfect for sharing and reading together. It was released on 8th December 2011 and published by Orion Books.
The book is paperback containing about 64 pages with many beautiful water colour illustrations. The font varies in size. Before the story begins, there are a few pages to introduce Potter’s Barn, the animals and along with a farm map.
This is a story about Mother Sheep calling for her lambs for dinner but she cannot find her lambs, Tilly and Tam. So she searches high and low around the barns looking for her lambs. Her lambs are playing hide and seek with her and finally they came out from hiding when they heard they are having a special supper of clover!
The storyline is sweet and enjoyable and aids learning all the different farms animals’ sounds. The book is easy to read and understand by both the children. At the back of the book, there are questions about the story which helps reaffirm what you’ve just read together. Mr K is doing very well at remember every scene while Ms C needs to pay more attention! After a few prompts, she managed to remember them though.
