Stoopido is a new gleeful, wacky and downright silly game of 1000 silly faces concept from Drumond Park. It is suitable for aged eight and above for two to four players. The idea of this game is the opposite of what you might think – the winner is the person who is the only player left without a full face covered with quirky colourful mis-matched eyes, ears, noses, hats and foreheads!
Inside this set, it comes with four pairs of plastic glasses, 5 clear nose clips, 10 clear ear clip, die, Stoopitoot, 4 slap pads, 25 Stoopido Face pieces and 1 Stoopido Loser sign. Before you play this game, you need to press out the slap pads and face pieces from their cardboard sheets. Then attach the clear nose and ear clips to the face pieces. It is very straightforward, but I would suggest setting this up beforehand unless your children are able to help you without ruining the sheets. The printout of the face pieces are very colourful and double-sided. The sheets are quite thin so you have to look after it properly while playing.
To play this game, everyone dons a pair of red plastic Stoopido Spectacles. The squashy ‘Stoopitoot’ is placed in the middle of the play area, with the four Slap Pads (nose/eyes/hat/ears) positioned around it. The double-sided Stoopido Face Pieces are piled beside each Slap Pad – and then you are ready to play! The youngest player starts and play moves clockwise. Each players take it in turns to roll the dice, but everyone reacts and plays at the same time! My seven year old wanted to join in hence we waited for her to be ready and mentally prepare herself before we race to slap the Slap Pad.
We like this game very much as everyone is racing to win the round and to have the honour of picking a Stoopido Face Piece to add to your opponent. This is a game that you have to react quickly or you will look silly! The more face pieces you get, the harder for you to shake them off! We did try to play with a cyborg/pirate face piece and it was hard as one of our eyes are covered up!
This is a merciless game that depends on the throw of a dice and the quick fire slap of a hand. It is an endless combination of colourful facial parts with brilliantly funny results! We all had fun!
