Star Wars Timeline Ep 1 – 3 Review

26 October 2016 by Eileen

Star Wars Timeline fan Alert!  This is the episode I to III trilogy which is fully compatible with the Star Wars Timeline episodes IV-V-VI games!  It is suitable for aged 8 and above and for 2 to 8 players. It is available to buy from Esdevium store finder RRP £13.99.

This timeline is based on Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Inside this tin, it comes with 110 cards and instructions. The matt finish cards are very small but are easy to deal with.

The game involves players placing cards that represent movie scenes (from Episode I – III) on one side, and the time position they occurred on the other side, in a timeline. Players are dealt upwards of four cards (depending on the level of Star Wars fan the players are) which they have to keep date side down. All the players are not allowed to look at the time position; they have to guess where in the Timeline the event fits and place it there before turning it over to discover whether they were correct. If not, that card gets discarded and that player draws a new card. The winner is the person to get rid of all of their cards first.

As Star Wars fans, we thought it would be easy but it’s more challenging than you might think! We do have the blu ray movies but haven’t watched it in a while and we found it easy to confuse one scene with another. We all love playing this game as it does provoke some nice discussions about some of the scenes. It is a challenging game but the beauty of it is that even if you are not familiar with the scenes you can still make a guess. I would highly recommend this especially to all Star Wars fans!

To make it even more challenging, you could get the other Star Wars timeline set and combine both sets together to play.

Beside the Star Wars Timeline, there are five other versions of the game; Historical Events, Inventions, Music & Cinema, Science & Discoveries and General Interest.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

I love Chewie 🙂 I think it stems from the fact that when the very first ever film came out, my sister and friends all fought about who was better Han Solo or Luke Skywalker and I had to be different and didn’t really care about those 2. I was a strange child lol.
