It is time to pack up the thick winter clothing as we have warmer incoming as spring is here! These two Lighthouse Clothing jackets that I have received are just perfect for the weather! I can enjoy my walks with our buddy dog, Mabel, in these highly waterproof, breathable and windproof jackets at our local nature reserve.
This is not my first time wearing Lighthouse Clothing jackets. I have known them since 2016 when I was first introduced to the brand and immediately loved their jackets. Since then, I have bought a thicker version of the jacket to wear during winter. I love the range of bold vibrant colours they have. The colours always look so happy and sweet. Not only that, their jackets are very durable. The watermelon Isla short coat that I previously owned lasted for ages. I only threw it away late last year because I left it in the porch and the sun de-coloured it to a patchy light pink.
In case you need reminding, let me introduce you again. They are a Belfast-based company that produces a range of breathable and durable outdoor wear that are perfect whatever the weather.
This is the new pink lightweight Beachcomber jacket hip length in size 18. This design comes in eight different colours. The sizes start from 8 to 20. It is true to size. The outer materials feel incredibly soft and very well made. The stitching and detail on this jacket are superb. I love the inner jersey lining as it is very soft and comfortable. It will also provide additional warmth on those more blustery days. It comes with a concealed hood that can fold away easily using the Velcro.
I love their design, especially the adjustable drawcords, antique brass tone toggles and buttons. It has two deep pockets that are great for keeping your hands warm and an internal small side pocket with a zip for your keys or phone. The additional features include branded embroidery at the chest and collar loop for easy hanging. It is waterproof, windproof and machine washable. I have not tried machine washing this jacket yet, but I had on my previous coat and it lasted well. It is important not to tumble dry it.
Next, I have the waterproof and breathable pink Alice ¾ length jacket made from sustainable fabric. This design comes in four different colours. Again, it is true to size. The sizes start from 8 to 20. I am quite short and the length is around my knee area.
The outer fabric combines with a Teflon coating and is made from recycled materials. It is comfortable to wear and gives me great protection from the weather. The sleeves are slightly longer which is great to fold out to display the cotton blend striped shirt lining which makes the coat look unique. The stitching and details on this jacket are superb. It is windproof and machine washable.
It has two front pockets with side entry, a top zipped internal pocket and a bottom internal phone pocket. The additional features include branded embroidery at the chest, a collar loop for easy hanging, two adjustable drawcords (hood and mid waist) and antique brass tone toggles and buttons. It has a two-way front zip with a faux leather puller.
I really enjoy wearing their clothing. It is very well made and the designs look very stylish. I love the bold colours. I am looking forward to seeing the range extending over the next seasons. I would definitely recommend them! They offer free delivery for purchases over £35, free returns and a 2-year guarantee. Do check them out!
