Lighthouse is a Belfast-based company that produces a great range of comfortable and durable outdoor wear that are perfect whatever the weather. Last month, they launched their new website and their Spring Summer 2016 collection. Have you checked them out yet?
I was excited when I was browsing their collection! It is not a huge range yet but there was so many that I loved. I was so pleased to pick a few pieces for my family to try out. I also love the range of bold and vibrant colour choices they offer.
Ms C went for the Rose Pink Coral Zip Through Fleece that is made from super-cosy anti-pill Sherpa fleece inside and out. It comes with contrasting blue twill hood lining and blue front/pocket zips lend an additional splash of colour to this cute ensemble. Additional features include branded embroidery at the chest and two zipped pockets. This top has a built-in snuggle feature! It keeps Ms C warm and cosy! She enjoys wearing it as the material is very soft. The fleece does keep her warm throughout the day. As this is made from fleece, a few bits of the fleece did come off which can be remove by using sticky stick. She is wearing the size 5 – 6 and it suits her very well. Ms C is small for her age and she is six years old. So my advice is to get a size up if you want it to last for a bit longer.
Mr K went for the Radar Zip Through Fleece which is the same material as Ms C’s except this does not come with a hood. He loves this bold green fleece that keeps him very warm and cosy. He is wearing the size 9 – 10 which fits him very well. We did go for size 7 – 8 previously and had to exchange for a bigger size. Again, my advice is to get a size up.
Mr C went for the Navigator Waterproof Parka Coat which is perfect for Spring time. Its windproof qualities and soft cotton blend lining will provide additional warmth on those more blustery days. It is highly waterproof and breathable to ensure you will be comfortable. It comes with contemporary details to the coat, from the top stitching detail at the shoulders to its subtly nautical draw cords at the hood. It is lightweight and comes with pockets. Mr C usually wears a medium size for coats but he is wearing a small size for this and it fits him very well. He loves the look of the soft blue chambray lining.
As for me, I went for the Isla Short Waterproof Coat which comes with three different colours. I went for the watermelon colour. I love pink and this works very well with my shoes. This jacket is highly waterproof and highly breathable. It is inspired by the wild Irish sea and scenic shore. I really love their design especially the nautical style drawcords, antique brass tone toggles and buttons. The sizes start from 8 to 18. I am size 18 and it is true to size. It is comfortable to wear and gives me great protection from the weather. The sleeves are slightly longer which is great to fold out to display the inner blue lining which make the coat look unique.
This was the first time had come across this brand and we are now fans! Their clothing is very well made and the designs look very stylish. It could last us years! I am looking forward to the range extending over the next seasons. I would recommend them! They also offer free delivery and 2 years guarantee. Do check them out!
