Cleaning ears are made easy with this ear cleaner kit! This is a wireless pen-shaped ear otoscope with a 1080P HD camera that enables you to see and clean your ear via the app. It makes life so much easier!
Inside this kit, it comes with an ear otoscope, six ear picks (spiral head, traditional size ear curettes and hard spiral head), six different shaped silicone ear tips, one brush, a type C USB charger and instructions. The silicone ear tips are soft to the touch and not rigid. They feel secure and shouldn’t come off easily from the ear spoon.
The ear otoscope has a built-in 350mAh rechargeable battery and it can be used for 90 minutes after fully charging according to the manufacturer. I do find that the battery life is less than what it’s supposed to be. On the app, it will tell you the battery life and how many more minutes of use are remaining. The charging port is located at the bottom of the otoscope.
Before you use the otoscope, you will need to download the free app called Suear via the App store or Play store. You can find the QR code for the app inside the instructions. To connect, you will need to open your WiFi on your phone settings to connect to the ear otoscope. Make sure you have already turned on your ear otoscope by pressing the on/off button for 3 seconds. It will stop bleeping blue once it is connected to the app. In my video, you can see how easy it is to get connected.
This ear otoscope is lightweight and compact. The length of the ear spoon is about 15mm and the body length of the otoscope is about 33mm. The lens’ diameter is about 3.5mm. The lens is IP67 waterproof and can be rinsed with water or wiped with an alcohol wipe after use. But the body is not waterproof, hence be careful if cleaning with water.
According to the manufacturer, it is suitable for all ages. I have used it on myself, my husband and two teenagers and have no problem with the size of the scope at all. I have not tried it on babies and younger children.
Also, the ear spoon can be removed, if required, by unscrewing it. In these photos, you can see there is no ear spoon at the end and on the full image.
When the ear spoon is attached, the image of the ear spoon will fill up around 1/3 of the screen. It is still a good visual image for you to see around the area.
I love using it and would recommend it. It is so compact and easy to use. It’s nice to have someone help me clean my ear while I look into the image. The first few times using it was quite tricky trying to orientate myself. On the app, you can choose Horizontal or Dynamic for viewing. If you choose Horizontal, the ear spoon image will move with your action. If you select Dynamic viewing, it will fix the ear spoon on the image. You can also take a still photo or video of the procedure for your reference. This is a very affordable piece of kit that is great for all use. You can also use it to check your nose or mouth if needed. It is available to buy from Amazon.
