4 Tricks To Reinvent Your Look

14 October 2020 by Eileen

Winter is approaching and so is the Christmas season! Now is the time to reinvent your look to welcome this festive season! It might be gloomy right now with this whole Covid-19 situation, but don’t let this virus put your life on hold!

Reinventing your look can actually be very psychologically beneficial. It can give us the sense of a fresh start. Hence I am sharing four tricks to reinvent your look and hope this will help you to feel different and better about yourself!

4 Tricks To Reinvent Your Look

Change your Hair Colour/Style

One of the drastic ways to change your look is to change your hair colour/style! Be bold and be fun! Experiment with something new and trendy by getting highlights or lowlights. By changing the colour of your hair, it will immediately enhance your facial features in many ways. Or try out an under layer colour using a dark contrast on the outside and light colour on the under layer. If you are worried about not getting the right shade for your hair, why not try out those temporary hair dyes instead.

Or get a haircut or add extensions. You could go from long locks to a short cut, get bangs, have extensions attached or wear a wig that will flatters your face. If you experience hair loss, there are things you can try by either contacting your GP or seeking Online Pharmacy for help. But most treatments aren’t available on the NHS, so you will have to pay for the drug like Dutasteride.

If you don’t want to do anything drastic to your hair, try flipping your hair by parting it on a different side. It can change the way the front sections frame your face. Our faces are asymmetrical, and drawing attention to a different side of your face can subtly change how your features are perceived. Trust me as I have done it before and I am loving it! It took sometime to train my hairline but it can be done.

Wear Glasses or Change your Frames

If you have a good eye-sight, you don’t have to spend a fortune on glasses. Simply get a nice and cheap frame to alter your look. If you wear glasses, why not switch them out for contact lenses or get a different colour frame from your old pair. If you have recently put on weight or lost weight, changing a frame will help to conceal your faces in flattering ways!

Korean No-makeup Look

If you like K-pop, you will notice that many Koreans don’t put on heavy make up but opt for a no-makeup look as it is more natural-looking. For a Korean no-makeup look, you shouldn’t cake on the foundation and can skip contouring your face. They emphasis a lot more on skincare that can give them radiant flawlessly smooth glowing skin rather than relying on heavy foundation and lips that look like a frog.

Change your Accessories

You don’t have to break the bank to change your accessories. Try to upcycle your old stuff before buying new. For example, if you have a large old chain necklace, you can wear it on your wrist instead. Or wear two different colour scarves together. Or head over to car boot sales to look for bargain accessories!

Are you brave enough to reinvent yourself? It will give you a feeling of renewal and rejuvenation and feeling more confident. I hope you will! Why not tell me in the comments below on how you would reinvent yourself?
