Moonpig Virtual Christmas Event 2020

12 October 2020 by Eileen

This year has been such an uneventful year! Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and many local restrictions, the way people are shopping is changing and nearly everyone is buying online these days! If you are looking at sending presents to your family this Christmas or birthday, why not check out Moonpig, who does everything for you, including printing your very own handwriting on the card!

Moonpig Virtual Christmas Event 2020

Last week, I was so fortunate to be invited to attend the Moonpig Virtual Christmas Event 2020 via Zoom! It was three hours of fun learning about the Moonpig app, flower arrangement and cocktail making!

Before I go into much detail about the party, I would like to share this 20% discount code APP20CA with you to use via Moonpig app for cards only.

The ability to create a handwritten card via the app is one of their newest features and is currently available on iOS. They are working hard to adapt for Android phones so this should be coming soon! First, select the card you would like to send, then write your heartfelt message on a piece of white paper using black/dark coloured pen, upload it and it will appear on the inside of the card. You can also use their AR feature to check how the card will look (available on iOS only).

Once you finish writing your message, simply add it into your basket. Of course, Moonpig also offers flowers, wines, chocolates, gift sets and much more for you to add your gift to your loved one. Mr K’s birthday is coming up soon, so I ordered a birthday card and chocolates for him! I love this funny card! At a glance, you would immediately know who the man on the picture is! Haw haw!

As Christmas is approaching soon, why not create your Christmas cards via the Moonpig app. It is very simple to use and they have over 10,000+ cards and intricate filters which means you can easily find the perfect one to create that wow-factor. Not only that, you can send it to multiple addresses in an order with gift or without! You can craft the perfect Christmas card wherever, whenever, with just a couple of clicks. A simple gesture goes a long way!

Next, we had Roxanne from Moonpig host the flower arranging masterclass and she taught us how to create the perfect Christmas centrepiece. We were given a piece of Oasis, which is a floral sponge to provide water to the flowers. The tip is so let the sponge soak the water on its own. Fill in a bucket of water and drop the sponge into the water and it will soak through. It didn’t take long to soak and it can provide many days of water to your flowers!

Arrange the leaves around the border of the sponge and try to cover the Oasis as much as you can. Then add the flowers by grouping them or scatter them around. Slowly build it around the Oasis.

I love to be gifted or gift flowers no matter the occasion, a bouquet of flowers always helps cheer people up and make everyone happy! It can also add a wow factor to the room or as a centrepiece!

Lastly, we had Conor from Mix & Twist teach us how to make three refreshing cocktails! I am not a cocktail person, but this has converted me. I love the refreshing citrus fruity drinks. To make a Vodka Garden, you would 45ml Belvedere Vodka, 25ml lime juice, 25ml sugar syrup, 6-8 mint leaves, 25ml elderflower soda and 1 inch Cucumber slice.

Next for the Kiwi Collins, you would need 45ml Belvedere Vodka, half peeled kiwi, 25ml lemon juice, 25ml sugar syrup and soda to top it.

Lastly, for the Gingerbread Espresso Martini, you would need 45ml Belvedere Vodka, 15ml Gingerbread syrup and 60ml Espresso. Did you know that Moonpig sells vodka and other spirits are available as well? If your loved one loves their drink, you can get them some via Moonpig!
