Back To Hogwarts

1 September 2020 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Back To Hogwarts! Last Thursday afternoon, did you join in with us to explore the Wizarding World and to talk about sending little witches and wizards to school during the Twitter party? We were delighted to receive a selection of Wizarding World products from Warner Bros. so that we could share our thoughts with you all.

Tomorrow is a momentous day in the wizarding world calendar! It is the first day where Hogwarts students return for a new term and catch the Hogwarts Express. This year may look a bit different than in the past but this is not the time to slack. Time to pack your trunk, ready your school supplies and prepare to go back to Hogwarts. Anyway, don’t forget the Hogwarts Express leaves at 11am! Head over to wizarding.world/backtohogwarts to find out how to join in virtually this year!

First, let me show you this Chibi print lunch bag featuring Harry, Hermione and Ron! This lunch bag is so cute and will appeal to all Harry Potter fans!

Next, we have the Quidditch print water bottle with a flip spout to keep hydrated during the day! It is dishwasher safe.

This Harry Potter Stationery set includes everything you need! There is a pen, pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener and ruler – all with classic Harry Potter decoration.

To keep all your back to school supplies safe, these house-branded backpacks will really show off your house pride! We have this well designed blue printed Ravenclaw backpack to keep everything safe! It is also available in the other three houses. All of the products featured so far are available online and in-store at ASDA (subject to availability). So which house do you belong to?

Next, I have the Elder Lumos wand to help me to re-enact iconic scenes from the movie, draw a Patronus or create stunning light paintings via WOW! Stuff Light Painting App to film yourself to enable you to produce extraordinary images. This wand is cast in high-grade resin and hand-painted for a replica look and feel! Each wand features an ultra-bright LED tip, which is activated by a hidden button on the handle of the wand. It is available in multiple characters. Paul Harris was demonstrating and teaching the art of wand combat last weekend, if you missed it, why not pop over to WizardingWorld.com to learn more about it. So what is your favourite charm or spell from the Wizarding World?

We nearly have everything ready to go #BackToHogwarts but let’s not forget the ‘school uniform’! These official House robes are from Rubies. Each robe is an authentic replica of the robes seen in the films and features the house scarf and crest. It comes in three different sizes: small, medium and large. Also, not forgetting adult sizes! We have the Gryffindor robes!

To add to all these fabulous items, we also have the Harry Potter toy doll figure by Mattel. The dolls are available as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall. What do you think about this?

What pet would you choose on your trip to Diagon Alley before the term starts? Have you ever wished you could have Hedwig as a pet? Well, now you can! Build your very own Hedwig with the LEGO® Harry Potter Hedwig Display Model. Bring the magical personality and elegant movement of Hedwig to life by simply turning the handle to see the jointed wings move gracefully up and down!

Last but not least, we have this Harry Potter Magic Capsule Series 1 collectable from YuMeToys and KapToys. In this series, it features 10 characters to collect including a mystery figure. Each bronze Hogwarts Crest contains a character, a pet, a wand, two accessories and two clues. Compartment 1 reveals a crest and by using the heat of your thumb you can find out what house your character belongs to. Compartment 2 reveals a spell. You have to dip your spell into water to reveal the writing! Finally, in the last compartment, there are four creatively wrapped parcels.

You can find these Harry Potter toys and more at smythstoys! If you’re a Harry Potter Fan, why not join the Harry Potter Fan Club at WizardingWorld.com and be the first to receive updates for the 1st Sept virtual event, to discover your Hogwarts house and to enjoy magical features, videos, quizzes and more. Don’t forget to join the very first virtual Back to Hogwarts Livestream on the Wizarding World YouTube and Facebook channels to watch the countdown and see some very special guest appearances too!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
